Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso – October 16, 2026
The Chariow Tour 5.5 continues its journey across Africa.
After Bamako, Chariow stopped in Ouagadougou on Friday, October 16, for its Creators Meetup, bringing together more than 200 creators, entrepreneurs, and digital industry professionals to discuss issues related to creating, selling, and growing digital businesses.
This event reflects Chariow's commitment to going beyond its platform to meet creators in person, understand their realities, and present the developments shaping its ecosystem today.
In Ouagadougou, discussions focused in particular on the performance of the Burkinabè community, the new opportunities offered by Chariow, and the next stages of its expansion across the continent.

The event provided a concrete opportunity to assess Chariow's growth in Burkina Faso.
The platform now has more than 43,840 Burkinabè creators and more than 246,700 digital products purchased. Creators in the country have already generated more than 670.6 million FCFA in revenue paid out, confirming that a real market exists for courses, ebooks, services, templates, and other digital products.
This momentum is also reflected in individual performance. The top Burkinabè creator on Chariow has exceeded 48.68 million FCFA in revenue, while 122 creators have already surpassed the one-million-FCFA mark.
These figures point to significant growth. The Burkinabè market is no longer limited to a community discovering the possibilities of digital. Many creators have already begun turning their knowledge and skills into genuine economic activities.

One of the highlights of this meeting was the announcement of the new markets recently opened by Chariow.
The platform announced the launch of local payments in six new African countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Madagascar, Chad, The Gambia, and the Central African Republic.
Customers in these markets can now pay in their local currency and using their usual payment methods. Bank cards and cryptocurrencies are also available in these new markets.
This momentum is set to continue with a gradual expansion into North Africa, including Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia, as well as several French-speaking European markets such as France, Belgium, and Switzerland. Chariow also plans to gradually adapt its interface and support to local languages and realities.
For creators, the stakes are high. Each new market represents an additional audience and new opportunities to market their products.
This expansion also brings new payment methods to countries where Chariow was already present.
In Burkina Faso, customers can now pay for their purchases with Wave. In Gabon, Moov Money adds to the existing payment methods. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, creators can now offer their products in US dollars.
These developments address one of the major realities of digital sales in Africa. To sell across multiple markets, simply being available online is not enough. Customers must also be able to pay using the methods they use every day.
This is precisely the infrastructure on which Chariow continues to focus a significant portion of its efforts.

Ouagadougou also provided an opportunity to look back at the many improvements already made to the platform.
Chariow presented 44 new features already released, including several features designed to help creators sell more, diversify their offerings, and manage their business more easily.
Creators can, for example, open their products to an affiliate network, offer digital access, create multiple stores from a single account, set up automations, and connect Chariow to their ecosystem through integrations and the API.
The Chariow Creators app also lets creators track their sales, revenue, and statistics directly from their phone. The platform also lets them offer coaching with appointment scheduling and use Intelia, the artificial intelligence integrated into the Chariow ecosystem.
Another improvement now available is Ateliat, which allows buyers to find their purchased ebooks, courses, licenses, and coaching in one place.
The presentation in Ouagadougou also revealed the direction Chariow is taking over the coming months.
Among the announced developments is Chariow Next, including a premium marketplace designed to select and showcase the highest-quality creations. The goal is to give creators additional visibility among a new audience, while allowing them to retain control over their prices and sales terms.
The roadmap also includes new withdrawal methods, notably cryptocurrencies and international bank transfers, as well as co-publishing, which will allow several creators to build a product together and automatically split the revenue according to the agreed terms. A dispute resolution system is also planned to better manage claims and protect creators.
But the vision presented in Ouagadougou goes beyond simply selling products.
Chariow intends to gradually build an ecosystem that enables creators to cover every stage of their journey, from creating their first offering to developing a structured business.

This vision is also based on a belief shared during the gathering: a creator's future lies not only in the product they sell, but also in the community they build around their expertise.
It is in this spirit that Tribbut is presented as a complement to Chariow, enabling creators to build and monetize paid communities on WhatsApp, Telegram, or Discord. A waiting list is already open ahead of its beta launch.
The ambition is therefore to gradually offer creators an environment capable of supporting them throughout their journey, from creating an offering to building an audience and a lasting community.
Beyond the presentations, the Ouagadougou Creators Meetup was above all marked by conversations with participants.
Questions, shared experiences, and discussions about the challenges encountered in digital sales helped put technology in its true context. A platform only has value when it addresses real problems and enables those who use it to go further.
With more than 200 participants gathered in Ouagadougou, this stop also confirms the importance of these in-person gatherings in building the Chariow community.
After Bamako and Ouagadougou, the Chariow Tour 5.5 will continue on to Conakry, Kinshasa, and Brazzaville.
Five countries. Five events. One shared ambition: to create more opportunities for those who turn their knowledge, skills, and ideas into businesses.
At every event, limitless possibilities.
